Welcome to the West Hartford online application form for the 2025-26 school year. No data will be collected until you hit submit on the last page, and you will be able to go back and edit the data you entered prior to submission.

The primary contact email address entered will receive the receipt of submission for this application. This is also the email address we will use to notify you if your child is selected for admission in the Webster Hill PreK lottery.

You must live in the Webster Hill, Wolcott, Smith or Hillcrest neighborhood to enter the Webster Hill PreK lottery. If you do no live in one of these districts/neighborhoods, you may enter your child in the lottery for Charter Oak or Smith STEM school using the 2025-26 Magnet Application.

PreK Tuition Information

60% percent of preschool spots are reserved for families in Group A (gross family income less than or equal to 75% of State median income) and 40% percent of preschool spots are reserved for families in Group B (gross family income greater than 75% of State median income). Please select which group your family income fits. Upon admission, you will be required to complete an income verification form.

Please indicate if your family is Group A or Group B, by taking the following steps.

1. In the first column of the table below, please find your household size.

2. Using line 11 of your most recently completed IRS Form 1040 for tax purposes, please determine if your gross income is less or more than the income cap listed. If your income is less, please select Group A. If your gross income is greater, please select Group B. (If your income has changed substantially, please instead use your household's current gross income to make your Group A or B determination.)

Please be advised that, in accordance with State grant requirements, "Income Group" is a determining factor in acceptance to the preK program. The district reserves the right to revoke acceptance to the program if, through the required income verification process, this information is deemed inaccurate.

Once you click the Submit button below, your application will be considered complete and entered into the Webster Hill PreK lottery.

This lottery is open only to students who reside in the Webster Hill, Wolcott, Smith and Hillcrest neighborhoods. If your child is selected for a slot in the lottery and you are not a resident of the above mentioned neighborhoods, your child's slot will automatically be forfeited and given to the next child on the waitlist. You may complete the 2025-26 Magnet Application for entry into the lottery for Charter Oak or Smith STEM School if you are not a Webster Hill resident.

We do not require that you establish residency at this time. However, should your student be selected in the lottery, you will have 5 days after notification to register and prove residency with WHPS before the space can be assigned to your student.

A receipt of submission will be sent to the primary contact email address. If you do not receive the email after 24 hours, please be sure to check your spam folder.
